Sydney's lockdown could extend until September if social distancing doesn't improve, data shows

Sydneysiders are getting better at social distancing, but vaccination rates aren't high enough to get us out of lockdown until at least mid-September, new modelling shows.

NSW has so far administered more than 3.6 million vaccine doses and yesterday recorded 239 local infections — the state's highest daily case number since the pandemic began.
