Taliban's Easter Sunday Bombing Targets Christian in Pakistan
Islamabad, Pakistan = A splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on Easter Sunday, that intentionally targeted Christians. The suicide blast in the eastern Pakistan city of Lahore killed at least 67 people and more than 300 others were injured.

A series of deadly terrorist attacks struck Brussels on Tuesday, with two explosions at the city’s main international airport and a third in a subway station at the heart of the city, near the headquarters complex of the European Union.

France On High Alert
Update: France declared a state of emergency and sealed its borders Friday evening after a series of apparently coordinated terrorist attacks struck at sites across Paris leaving at least 129 dead and 352 wounded.
PARIS, France - At least 35 people were killed Friday in shootings and explosions around Paris, many of them in a popular concert hall where patrons were taken hostage, police and medical officials said.

FBI and Homeland Security on Hightened Alert heading into July 4 weekend
As Americans celebrate the country's 239th birthday, FBI and DHS remain on hightened alert following an increased threat of a terror attack. There is no "specific, credible intelligence" about an attack; only that Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has called for attacks "against members of the military, law enforcement, the U.S. government and the American public."

Australia's domestic security agency has raised the national terrorism threat level for all police to high. The threat level for police moved from medium to high in recognition of the danger they face as first responders and to put it in line with national alert level.

Germany on high alert following France terrorist attacks France deploys 10,000 troops as terror alert remains high.

Suspected Islamists kill 12 in Paris attack on satirical weekly
PARIS, France - Hooded, black-clad gunmen burst into the office of provocative French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday, killing 12. The attackers appeared well-armed, well-coordinated and, since they escaped onto the streets of Paris, capable of striking again. The tragedy marks France's deadliest terror attack in decades. The government raised its terror alert to the highest level and reinforced security at houses of worship, stores, media offices and transportation.

New York City, Washington D.C. on heightened Terror Alert after Boston bombing. New York City has been operating at an Orange (High) threat level since after September 11, 2001. The U.S. and New York State are operating at a Yellow (Elevated) threat level.

The United States government's national threat level is Elevated, or Yellow.
The U.S. threat level is High, or Orange, for all domestic and international flights. Only small amounts of liquids, aerosols and gels are allowed in carry-on baggage. See the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) website for up-to-date information on items permitted and prohibited on airlines.
While there continues to be no credible information at this time warning of an imminent threat to the homeland, the department's strategic threat perspective is that we are in a period of increased risk. The National Intelligence Estimate cited heightened activity overseas and we're mindful of the recent arrests in Europe. There has also been an upward trend in propaganda tapes and messages coming from al Qaeda and affiliated networks over the past year.

Statement by Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff Announcing a Change to the Nation’s Threat Level for the Aviation Sector - The Department of Homeland Security is taking immediate steps to increase security measures in the aviation sector in coordination with heightened security precautions in the United Kingdom. For that reason, the United States Government has raised the nation’s threat level to Severe, or Red, for commercial flights originating in the United Kingdom bound for the United States. This adjustment reflects the Critical, or highest, alert level that has been implemented in the United Kingdom. To defend further against any remaining threat from this plot, we will also raise the threat level to High, or Orange, for all commercial aviation operating in or destined for the United States.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced a targeted raise in the threat level. In light of today’s attacks in London, the United States Government is raising the threat level from Code Yellow – or Elevated – to Code Orange – or High – targeted only to the mass transit portion of the transportation sector. This only includes regional and inter-city passenger rail, subways and metropolitan bus systems. We are also asking for increased vigilance in other transportation systems.
